i-Pill tablet is belongs to the category of progestins. It is used as an emergency contraceptive. It provides a safe and effective way to prevent an unwanted pregnancy after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. This tablet is effective when taken within 72 hours of an unprotected intercourse or failure of the usual method of contraception.

Uses of i-Pill Tablet

Avoid pregnancy when taken within 72 hours of having unprotected sex

Avoid pregnancy for up to three years

Reduces or stops the short-term changes of menopause

How i-Pill Tablet Works in the body?

Tablet is a progestin a female hormone. It works to prevent pregnancy by temporarily stopping the release of an egg from the ovary, or preventing fertilization (union of the egg and sperm). It may also alter the lining of the uterus (womb) to stop a fertilized egg from attaching to the uterus.

Precautions

Use of alcohol while taking oral contraceptives may cause an increase in the Central nervous system effects.

This medicine should not be used in patients having a tumor in the liver. Consumption of this medicine may worsen the symptoms of the disease.
